Green Building

Since 2008 it has been possible for Danish enterprises to join the European Green Building Programme. GreenBuilding is a voluntary programme which was initiated by the European Commission in 2005. The programme aims at improving energy efficiency in commercial buildings all over the EU through energy savings within areas such as heating, lighting, ventilation, cooling, office machinery etc.

NCC Property Development is the first, national and corporate Green Building Partner in Denmark, and the first two Danish Green Buildings in Kolding and Vallensbæk will be ready for occupancy before the Climate Summit (COP15) in the autumn of 2009.

EU’s Green Building Programme is progressive in the way that the partners in the programme construct or refurbish buildings which are 25 per cent more energy efficient than actually required in the national building standard."
