In December 2008, NCC Property Development
decided on a future environmental strategy
focusing on the following …

Energy:

  • At least 75% of all future projects must comply with the EU Green Building standards, i.e. with a calculated energy consumption which is at least 25% lower than the current, national building standard.
  • Implementing tools for calculation and reporting of the CO2 emissions in our projects

INDOOR CLIMATE:

  • All future projects must ensure a good indoor climate as regards noise, light, temperature, quality of air and air humidity.

MATERIALS:

  • In all future projects we must use and combine materials affecting the environment and health during construction and maintenance as little as possible.

OTHER:

  • We must be proactive when it comes to enhancing environmental issues both via the press and among our tenants and investors.
  • We must prepare an environmental profile for all our projects.
  • We must educate and counsel our tenants in eco-friendly behaviour as regards management, use and maintenance of buildings and premises.
  • All employees must be educated and trained in environmental issues.
